The 2012 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books returns to the University of Southern California campus next Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22. Since its inception in 1996, the festival maintains one simple goal: “to bring together the people who create books with the people who love to read them.”
The 17th annual event is a wonderful opportunity to mingle with hundreds of authors, attend panel discussions with best-selling novelists and industry experts on writing and the publishing business, and participate in one of three two-hour writing seminars with the literary world’s best and brightest. The festival also includes storytelling for children, poetry readings, musical performances, art exhibits, cooking demonstrations, and nearly 300 exhibitor booths representing booksellers, publishers, and literacy and cultural organizations.
